Lessons Learned

I knew I was taking a chance today running around all day with Baby Hulk and Kobra without stopping for a nap. The kids seemed fine, no tantrums, no fussing out of the ordinary. I was so fine with my decision to skip naps for the day. But it has come back to haunt me. It’s almost 11 pm, and both boys have already woken up twice since I put them down to sleep. I know naps are sacred, why did I challenge this fact of life? As I sleep in the yellow chair holding one of the two, I will be thinking that.

  1. From Denise:

I am with you on this one. Grandson who is in my care for the next 48 hours didn't want to go down for his normal nap times & was being so good & cute I didn't force the naps. Plus he was letting me work, like I'm supposed to do 8-5 in my home! Anyway took late afternoon nap & is still up at 12:19am and PLAYING & is such a charmer at and only a yearold!I can't get mad but damn I'm tired! I should not bitch cause his Daddy & Momma just bought a house & are leaving us.I'm gonna miss that BABY BOY! Nicole just wait til you have grandkids they are even more special than our children.I am truly blessed & amazed every single day with this wonderful Grandbaby.

  2. From Nicole:

Denise, my mom keeps telling me that one day I will understand about the grandkid thing. (becasue it drives me crazy how wrapped my parents are!) I love my kids so much, I can't imagine loving anyone more.

Sorry your baby will be leaving soon!
