Relying on Honey?

My allergies this year have been horrible. My nose is runny, my eyes are swollen, and I’m just miserable. The pollen is everywhere. I’ve taken anything over the counter that I can find and nothing has helped me so far. Now I’m going natural and using raw honey. I’ve had three people swear by this. So far nothing has happened except that Lance has asked me if I think I’m allergic to raw honey. My face is more swollen than ever.

Comments on Relying on Honey?

  1. From Jilly:

I have never heard of the honey thing. But about a year ago my allergies got so horrendous I finally broke down and went to an allergist and started injections. Im much happier now. Prior to that I had never really been bothered by them, but it just seemed like all of a sudden they were making me absolutely miserable.

I've always heard that honey for allergies has to be honey from the area where you are living. Is that what you are using??

  3. From Anonymous:

This is an old wives tale.

  4. From Nicole:

Does Vermont count as local honey? Guess I'm back to Whole Foods tomorrow. I look like I've been taking steroids my face is so swollen. Or maybe that's the Easter candy.
